Tata unveils Safari Storme in South India

 Home-grown SUV major Tata Motors, on Wednesday, launched the latest offering from its Safari SUV stable in the southern markets. Called the ‘Tata Safari Storme’, the new SUV is powered by a 2.2-litre diesel VariCOR engine, delivering 140 PS power and 320 Nm torque.

It features ESOF (electronic shift-on-fly) technology, enabling engagement of the 4X4 or 4X2 mode, on the move.It is available in four variants, with prices beginning at Rs 9.95 lakh (ex-showroom, Bangalore).

The Storme was launched in New Delhi two months ago and by the end of this year, it will be sold nationally.
 As of now, over 3,000 Stormes have been delivered to customers and another 2,000 have been booked. The company plant in Pune, where the Storme is being produced, has an installed capacity of 2,500 units.
