Talacauvery all set for Tula Sankramana

Cleanliness must be given prime importance

At  a preparatory meet held at Bhagamandala api culture training centre, Assembly Deputy Speaker K G Bopaiah said “Talacauvery Theerthodbhava is not only holy moment for the residents of Kodagu but also for the entire country.”
He called upon various organisations to join hand with the district administration in making the programme a grand success.

He said “cleanliness must be given prime importance in Bhagamandala and Talacauvery. Drinking water facilities must be supplied to the devotees as wells as to the Mass Feeding Committee.”

He directed Chescom officials to see that there is no disruption in the power supply at Bhagamandala panchayat limits during the fair.
Health department should be ready with emergency treatment kit and ambulance. At the same time, awareness must be created on H1N1.
Temporary toilets must constructed in Talacauvery and Bhagamandala. However, these toilets must be kept clean.

Bopaiah urged the people to collect vehicle pass from the police department at the earliest.

He said Madikeri-Bhagamandala and Bhagamandala-Ayyangeri road must be made motorable.
Sign board must be installed at dangerous curves on Bhagamandala-Talacauvery road.
District administration was asked to make arrangement for the two vans to transport ministers and other VIPs who come to the Tula Sankramana.
Deputy Commissioner K H Ashwathanarayana Gowda said district administration is all set for the Tula sankramana celebration. The use of plastics have been banned in Talacauvery-Bhagamandala.
Local Gram Panchayat should keep an eye on the shop keepers who tend to use plastic cover.

Superintendent of Police Manjunath Annigeri said those who want to have vehicle pass must approach Madikeri DySP J D Prakash.
Talacauvery-Bhagamandala Temple Committee President Narayanachar said the sale of plastic, cigarette, pan parag must be banned on Tula Samkaraman near the temple.
Transport officer said between October 16 and 18, additional 50 buses will be deployed.
MLC S G Medappa, Zilla Panchayat CEO Mirja Akbarulla, Taluk Panchayat President H S Subhashini, Vice-President Chitra Nanaiah, Additional DC Chandre Gowda and others were present.
