Assaulted her thrice earlier, arrested

A man was arrested for allegedly raping his 15-year-old stepdaughter in outer Delhi’s Sultanpuri on Tuesday, police said on Wednesday.

The victim, a class 9 student,  alleged that Salim Ali had previously raped her thrice and used to beat her without any reason.

“The rape came to light when the victim complained to her mother,” a police official said.
In her statement to police, the girl claimed that Salim used to rape her when they were alone in the house. When she resisted, he threatened her of dire consequences.

A case of rape was registered against Salim after the girl’s medical examination was conducted. He also faces charges under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. “We are probing into the matter and further investigations are in process,” the official added.

Seven-yr-old abused

A seven-year-old girl was allegedly sexually abused after being kidnapped from north-east Delhi’s Seemapuri on Tuesday.

The victim, a class 2 student, was kidnapped around 1 pm from near her house when she was out to purchase grocery items. As she did not return till evening, her family members began to search her and one of them spotted her crying near Mrignani Chowk.

She told her mother that an unidentified person kidnapped her who later sexually abused and attempted to rape her.

A case under section 363 (kidnapping) and 323 (causing hurt) of the Indian Penal Code has been lodged with Seemapuri police station.
