No play was possible on the third day of the Ranji Trophy semifinal between Mumbai and Services on Friday because of incessant rain.
A hailstorm on Thursday night was followed by heavy downpour, forcing umpires Adrian Holdstock and Subrat Das to call off play after formal inspection around noon.
Mumbai were 380/6 at stumps on the second day with Aditya Tare (113) and Ajit Agarkar (108) involved in an unbeaten 211-run seventh wicket stand that helped Mumbai recover from 198 for six at one stage.
There is a chance of the game progressing to the sixth day if either of the teams is not able to complete at least an innings. If the sixth day's play is also not possible, then the winner will be decided by the toss of the coin.
