A formal demand to this effect will be made at the meeting of the AISPLB to be held in New Delhi on October 25 next, board president Maulana Mirza Mohammad Athar told reporters here on Wednesday.
He said the board members would also discuss wide-ranging reforms in the community in the fields of education and religion and personal law, including mehar and dowry. The maulana also said the board would demand adequate representation to the 50 million Shias of the country in Parliament and government jobs.
