“It is a perfect lead-up to the one-day series. Yeah, it is a different format altogether, but the series will help me and others playing in the Champions League to acclimatise to the conditions here,” Lee said.

The New South Wales pacer said it will be hard work for him to bowl in the sub-continent. “Yeah, being a fast bowler is taxing and bowling in sub-continent is real hard work. But it will be satisfying to succeed in these conditions after all the hard yards I have put together in the last few months,” Lee said in an interaction with media.

However, Lee refrained from terming Australia firm favourites for the series. “We have been playing one-day matches for while now and playing well too. We had won against England 6-1, and then won the Champions Trophy recently in South Africa. So, obviously people would like to think that we are favourites going to the series.

“But India is an unpredictable team, and we can’t take them lightly on their home grounds where there will be a lot of support for them,” he said.

Lee also said it will be challenging to bowl against Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar on Indian pitches.  “Viru and Sachin are world class players, and it is a pleasure to bowl against them. But at the same time it’s a lot challenging also, especially in a seven-match series in tough conditions,” he said.
