After motor, music keeps mood

‘Lokada kalaji madutthinanthi,Nimagyar bedanthaaro,Maadappa chinti’ (You say you want to worry about the world,None will deny you your worries,Continue your concerns) is a poem by Shishunala Shareefa, that got a modern touch at a concert following the Autocross at Lalitha Mahal Palace Grounds.

The crowd was thin as Raghu Dixit and his band were about to perform at the valedictory of Autocross here on Sunday. Temperatures soared and audience of Autocross huddled around the places with some shade.

But, after the concert began audience were treated to an interactive musical experience, as they took baby steps to learn a song. Raghu Dixit took a while to attract the crowd near the stage. But, later, the crowd joined hands in appreciating and encouraging the band.

The rock version of the Kannada folk song, ‘Kodagana koli nungittha’ and other hit numbers also entertained the crowd, which preferred to bear the soaring heat for a good dose of music.
