Akhilesh Yadav may be ruling Uttar Pradesh but his wife Dimple Yadav, a Lok Sabha member from Kannauj in the state, has emerged as a clear winner between the two as far as the social networking site is concerned.
Akhilesh and Dimple are on Facebook, a popular social networking site. While Akhilesh’s page has only 8,000 ‘likes’, Dimple’s page has over 20,000 ‘likes’.
A picture of Dimple Yadav sporting a red cap at the venue of a recent cricket match between IAS eleven and chief minister’s eleven here has been liked by thousands of people.
Dimple was there to cheer her husband’s team. She is seen clapping in one of the photographs.
The people are also using Dimple’s Facebook page to share their views on the performance of the Akhilesh Yadav government.
Both positive and negative comments about the working of the government can be found on the page.
Comments on govt
There are people who have commented that the government has not fulfilled its election promises and have also rapped it for a series of communal riots in different parts of the state since the party took over the reins in March last year.
There are many, who have been using the page to appraise Dimple about their problems and seek her intervention.
People have also asked her to exert pressure on the government to expedite the
distribution of free laptops and tablets as promised by the party in its election manifesto.
The tech savvy couple has changed the face of the SP, which was earlier known for its staunch opposition to the English language and computers.
Akhilesh’s performance may not have been up to the expectations of the people in the state given the rate of rising crime graph, his wife has certainly outperformed
him on the social networking site.
