JOIN USThe Urban Development department on Wednesday ordered that senior KAS officer K N Dharamappa be relieved from service immediately as he had tampered with his birth certificate and continued in the office even after attaining the age of superannuation.
K V Ramappa, Under Secretary, Urban development department has issued orders in this regard. Dharmappa is currently working as deputy commissioner at Mysore City Corporation.
Dharmappa had to retire from service in November 2011 as his actual birth date is November 28, 1951. But, he had allegedly tampered with the certificate and mentioned his date of birth as November 28, 1953.
The alleged tampering of certificate came to light when the authorities concerned examined certain documents including a insurance policy issued to him by KGID .
The under secretary also ordered that salary paid to Dharmappa during the past 11 months be taken back and a criminal case registered against him.
