Government official held for allegedly molesting bus conductor

Manmad police registered offences against one Ketan Pradeep Nisar under Sections 353, 354, 323, 504 of the Indian Penal code (IPC) last evening, for allegedly manhandling and molesting a lady bus conductor onboard a Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) bus proceeding from Nandgaon to Kothar, the police said today.

The accused, who is a government servant travelling in the bus (MH-12D 8342) refused to purchase a ticket and produced his government pass to the conductor. He did not produce his photo identity, when asked do so.

When he was asked to purchase a ticket and pay the bus fare, he refused to to so and allegedly manhandled and molested her.

The lady bus conductor who is a Malegaon resident lodged a complaint with the Manmad police, who arrested the accused, the police said.
