JOIN USThe body of three-year-old Shirish, who died due to alleged negligence by doctors, was laid to rest at Agara burial ground on Thursday.
The family members claimed that Dr Raviraj and Dr Raghavendra did not take permission from the boy’s parents before conducting the root canal procedure on him.
The parents of the boy had approached Dr Raviraj a couple of months ago after Shirish developed dental problems and an appointment was given for Wednesday only to perform a filling up procedure.
Family misled
According to family members, even after the boy’s health condition worsened, the doctors were not ready to shift him to a bigger hospital close to Annayya ENT and Dental Clinic.
The doctors misled the family and tried to escape by shifting him to a far-off hospital because Shirish had already died at Annayya Hospital, they alleged.
“We will take appropriate action after we receive the post-mortem report,” said a relative of Shirish’s parents.
According to the police, the post-mortem report will take a couple of days.
