4 boys drown in Kasargod

 
The deceased have been idenitied as Abhilash (18), Ajith (16) and Ajish (14), all sons of Narayana and his brother Raghava’s son Rathan (14).

All the four were students of Mahajana Sanskrit College High School in Neerchal.

According to the police, six boys went for a swim as they had a holiday for school. When the boys were caught in a strong currant, a certain P Mohammed managed to rescue two.

Though the fire service personnel rushed to the spot, they could not rescue the boys.
The bodies were fished out by the fire force personnel and local people.

The post mortem was conducted at Kasargod General Hospital. MP P Karunakaran and MLA C T Ahmed Ali among others visited the hospital following the incident.
