Modern take on a classic

Watch ‘The Three Musketeers’ on February 11 at 11.21 pm on HBO. The movie stars Matthew Macfadyen, Milla Jovovich, Luke Evans, Helen George, Christian Oliver and Ray Stevenson. The movie is about the hot-headed young D’Artagnan and three former legendary — but now down on their luck — musketeers.

They must unite and defeat a beautiful double agent and her villainous employer from seizing the French throne and engulfing Europe in war.

Sought after by colleges

Johnny Be Good’ is a comedy about a star high-school jock and how every major college in the United States attempts to recruit him and other promising football stars — illegally — by promising them free booze, willing cheerleaders, hard cash, Learjets and no homework. The movie stars Anthony Michael Hall, Robert Downey Jr, Paul Gleason, Uma Thurman and Jennifer Tilly.

Tackling the drug problem

A History of Violence’ stars Viggo Mortensen, Maria Bello, Ed Harris, Aidan Devine, Bill McDonald, William Hurt and Ian Matthews.

In this movie, a small-town diner owner’s life is shattered by the arrival of shadowy thugs, who claim he is a part of their past.

The film is about Tom Stall (played by Viggo Mortensen), a quiet restaurateur who is forced to resort to violence after he is accosted by goons who claim to know him and attempt to rob his diner.

Tom is hailed as a hero — but when more thugs show up, his inconsequential past comes under the spotlight.
