Thousands cheer early Cauvery teerthodbhava

This is the first event after the renovation of temple in Bhagamandala

Goddess Cauvery gave her darshan to devotees seven minutes prior to the fixed time in the form of teerthodbhava. About 20 minutes prior to the teerthodbhava, devotees broke the police security and entered the Pushkarni.

Soon after the teerthodbhava, devotees rushed to collect holy teertha. This is the first teerthodbhava after the renovation of Bhagandeshwara temple in Bhagamandala.
Thousands of devotees from Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh had come to have a glimpse of teerthodbhava.

Priests led by Ananthakrishnachar offered vermilion and flowers to Brahmakundike amidst chanting of ‘Jai jai matha, Cauvery matha’ Some devotees were sprinkling the holy water on their body, while others were collecting it in bottles, cans and tumblers. Until night, devotees were seen collecting the holy water.

Assembly Deputy Speaker K G Bopaiah, Women and Child Welfare Minister P M Narendraswamy, MP H Vishwanath, MLC S G Medappa, DC K H Ashwathanarayana Gowda, ZP President V M Vijaya and others witnessed the teerthodbhava.
