Sound engineer meets watery grave

According to the information received, N Sridhar (52), a resident of Rajaji Nagar, was returning home from Hosur after buying crackers for Deepavali. At 2 pm, the tyres skidded, plunging into the lake at Gottigere.

Since the car doors were jammed in the accident, Sridhar could not extricate himself from the vehicle. After the body was discovered and taken to a nearby hospital, he was declared brought dead. A popular name in the Kannada film industry, Sridhar was associated with Poornima Outdoor Unit of Vajreshwari Combines for the last 25 years, said his brother Gopal.

Sridhar recorded many popular Kannada songs and was Dr Rajkumar’s favourite, Gopal added. He is survived by his son Harsha.
