The management wing of Kristu Jayanti College recently held its international inter-college management fest, titled ‘Prodigy v7.0.’ The two-day affair had more than 12 colleges, from across the country, participate in it. The aim of the fest was to provide an opportunity to budding managers and entrepreneurs to showcase their talent.

The events were designed and structured around the theme, ‘Unmask your Potential’. Principal Fr T A Sebastian, addressed the students on the opening day of the fest. “Coming together is an experience. And when it is for a management fest, the enthusiasm is more,” he says.

The fest showcased two main events: ‘7 All Rounder’s’ and ‘Business Quiz’ . The events under ‘7 All Rounder’s’ covered various management aspects, like human resource, finance, marketing, ‘Best Manager’ and entrepreneurship development (ED). It gave the aspiring entrepreneurs a platform to exhibit their talents in the various domains of management. It had four rounds including a quiz, bidding, convincing the customer and hard sale. The participants had to go through various rounds, which helped in unleashing their potential.

“The best part of the fest was that there were students from Germany and the United States of America who took part in it. And true to the spirit of the fest, there’s a chance for everybody,” explains Kezhia, the student coordinator of the fest. Nishant, a student from St Joseph’s College of Commerce, adds, “The fest was awesome and we liked the idea of thinking out-of-the-box and moving around.” Riti, a student of Christ University, feels that the fest provided a competitive atmosphere for the students. “The events are structured in such a way that they push you to think. Besides, the many contacts you make during such fests are invaluable,” she says. The management fest offered attractive prizes worth more than Rs 60,000 and the participant with the best ‘Visume’ walked home with a job offer. Christ University bagged the overall championship award.
