Post-graduate scholarships for Indian applicants

The University of Southampton Law School is offering 30% scholarships to Indian students on its post graduate LLM programmes starting in September 2013. To avail the scholarships, students must exceed the minimum entry requirements by 5% in the LLB. The courses available for the scholarships are LLM Corporate and Commercial Law (1 year), LLM European and Comparative Property Law (1 year), LLM European Law (1 year), LLM Law (1 year), LLM Information Technology and Commerce (1 year), LLM International Business Law (1 year), LLM International Law (1 year) and LLM Maritime Law (1 year).

Further, students applying for the scholarships must either be holding an LLB degree from a good law school in India with a minimum of 50% or a recognised law degree from other countries. The University is offering 5 scholarships each of £4000 for the MSc Crime Analysis as well as MSc/LLM Socio-Legal Studies to those students who exceed the minimum entry requirements by 5%. English language requirements are at IELTS 7.0 with no less than 6.0 in any component. The annual fee for all campus based MSc and LLM courses are £13,500 and for the (DL) LLM IT and Telecoms Law are £1750 per unit plus £1000 for the dissertation, making a total of £8000. IT Aptitude Test

NIIT has announced an IT Aptitude Test — the 9th NIIT National IT Aptitude Test (NITAT) to be held on February 17, 2013. This test will enable students and graduates to ascertain their aptitude for the IT industry. Students can learn more about the benefits of appearing in the 9th NITAT and register online by logging on to www.niit.com/NITATor by visiting the nearest NIIT centre.
NITAT has been designed as a 100-minute objective test assessing functional skills like reasoning, comprehension, data interpretation, and behavioural traits such as result orientation and teamwork of the test takers. The assessment will be of particular benefit to graduating students in determining their aptitude for IT careers, as well as the domain in the IT sector that they should take up. MBA program for business analytics

IBM, in partnership with Galgotias University (GU), Delhi-NCR, has launched a futuristic full time MBA Program in Business Analytics to help organizations build better skilled resources in areas of managerial decision making and strategy. Loughborough University is offering a two-year executive MBA course in International Sports Management, and applications are now open for its next intake in October 2013. Specifically tailored for executives seeking career advancement and personal development within the rapidly expanding global sports industry, the International Sports Management MBA aims to equip students with core business and management skills in a sports context. Those who wish to fast track their career into senior management in sports can benefit from this course immensely. Those wishing to apply should have 3 years of relevant professional experience and hold either a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university, membership of an approved chartered institute or a Diploma in Management Studies. General Management Program

XLRI is offering a General Management Program (GMP), also known as Executive PGDM, a flagship fulltime, 15 months residential MBA programme for aspirants with more than 5 years of work experience in managerial capacity. The GMP course imparts a broad outlook, enriching the participants and encouraging them to think beyond their limits and identify out-of-the-box solutions and challenge the status-quo. The focus here is not on producing business managers per se, but socially responsible business leaders. The program has received AICTE approval. GMP witnesses a blend of seasoned professionals (entrepreneurs, doctors, scientists, chartered accountants and bankers) from a wide array of sectors. The program includes 3 days of introductory courses that will lay the foundation to all courses taught during the 15 month full-time MBA.
