Being original

Ragini Dwivedi is all set to become a trainer for a beauty pageant. No she’s not changing careers but is stepping into the shoes of the new character she is playing in her latest flick, K Manju’s Shankar IPS, where she stars opposite Vijay, who plays a cop in the film.

“It’s such a refreshing film and I am very excited about this project because we are getting a lot of glamourous costumes from Mumbai which I am looking forward to wearing,” says Ragini. She has just returned to the City after the audio release of her Tamil film Ariyaan, where she plays the role of a glamourous spoilt brat.

Being a participant of the Miss India contest herself, the actress is going all out for the role and getting in touch with her pageant trainers to prepare herself for the character. “I remember during my pageant days it used to be a lot of fun while at the same time we learned a lot from our trainers,” she adds.

So as a trainer what advice would she give her on-screen models? “I would like to tell them to be themselves and do what they feel is right. Most of all, the only thing that matters is bringing originality to your character,” she says. Way to go Ragini.
