Sreesanth gets two-match ban

Kerala rode on Rohan Prem’s unbeaten 82 to beat Goa by six wickets in their South Zone one-day championship for the Subbiah Pillai Trophy here on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, S Sreesanth, who returned to action towards the end of last year after a long injury lay-off, once again fell foul of match officials.

The fast bowler was deemed guilty of a Level II offence for his actions on the field during Kerala’s match against Tamil Nadu on Monday and match referee KK Sharma handed a two-match ban with immediate effect.

Consequently, Sreesanth was forced to sit out Kerala’s final match against Goa on Wednesday.
