Promod’s summer collection for women is edgy enough to make heads turn. Stylish silhouettes, bright colours and trendy designs add an element of glamour to the clothes. The best part is that the brand caters to people with different budgets — from bold jackets to well-tailored cocktail dresses, there’s something for everyone.
Designs with an international touch
The summer collection has a nice mix of bright hues with floral prints, combined to give the clothes a soothing, yet fashionable feel. It includes straight and boot-cut denims, cotton jackets, stylish pullovers, boat-neck tops as well as denim and cotton skirts. Well-fitted dresses are also a prominent trend.
All in all, the brand offers French fashion like never before. The collection has a mix of urban, romantic, retro-leisure and ethnic trends. Key looks are romantic dresses, light-knit cardigans, A-line skirts, African prints and so on. There are also light floral prints and tops which are embellished with sequins.
“Promod dresses modern women who are looking for affordable, feminine and easy-to-wear fashion. The collection offers a wide range of frequently-updated items — from timeless seasonal must-haves to cutting-edge designer-inspired fashion pieces. Mixing and matching Promod’s clothes and accessories, you can create your own fashion statement that will spell out your own style,” says a spokesperson from the brand.
Promod was created in 1975 as a French family boutique — the production and the retailing of women’s ready-to-wear and original accessories came later. For those looking for affordable, feminine and easy-to-wear fashion, Promod is a one-stop store, offering the best and fitting everyone’s bill. All through the year, the team of designers and buyers comb the world to track down the newest fabrics and the latest international style inspirations that add a unique appeal to their collections.
The jackets — designed for all seasons — sell like hot cakes. They have an interesting mix of colours, fabrics and cuts. The summer jackets, for instance, are available in light denim and can be teamed up with either a floral T-shirt or a chequered shirt.
Ajung, the assistant store manager of the store, says that the flavour of the season is something different. “The ‘ethnique tricot’ collection has a lot of sequins combined with cotton and other fabrics. The current collection is ‘Floral Grunge’ — it has bright as well as pastel shades, combined with floral prints. The ‘Ethnique graphics’ collection is also very popular and looks trendy,” she adds.
The clothes are versatile enough that they can be worn to both casual and formal occasions.
