The hostels have already been constructed at the Metro quarters on Magadi Road by the BMRCL and will be given on lease to the YHAI.

There are three youth hostels in the State - in Mysore, Hassan, and Davangere. All of these are run by the government.

In the country as a whole there are 87 youth hostels run as franchises by private parties and 90 others are run by the government.
