'G' sites: Probe panel extends deadline

The time for filing affidavits before the Justice B Padmaraj Committee has been extended till 5 pm on March 15, 2013.

The panel has been constituted to probe allotment of ‘G’ category sites.

In a press statement issued on Wednesday, the Committee has said that of the 313 respondents, only 175 had filed their affidavits till now and hence the deadline has been extended. A notice has been issued to all the respondents who have been allotted ‘G’ category sites.

The notice asks the respondents to file their affidavits in the format available on the official website of the inquiry committee.

The committee was set up during the tenure of B S Yeddyurappa as chief minister. A contempt petition was filed in the High Court over the delay in functioning of the panel.

The panel has directed the respondents to file their affidavits at its office in Vikas Soudha. All the relevant documents including the order of the High Court and the government order constituting the committee are available on the portal of the committee.
