Dynamics of a love triangle

In ‘My Best Friend’s Wedding’, Michael (played by Dermot Mulroney) informs his best friend, Julianne (essayed by Julia Roberts), of his forthcoming wedding to Kimberly (portrayed by Cameron Diaz). Julianne rushes over to Chicago to stop the wedding that is to occur in just four days time.

She wants to persuade Michael to marry her instead. The next three days find Julianne doing her best to split Michael and Kimberly, but to no avail.

Then, on the day of the wedding, Julianne tells Michael that she loves him. Will Michael change his mind? Catch the film on Sony Pix at 6.45 pm on March 1 to find out.

Inspired by a stranger

Catch ‘The Adjustment Bureau’ on HBO at 6.57 pm on March 1. The film is about David Norris, an up and coming politician. On a night when he loses a Congressional election, a chance meeting with a stranger named Elise Sellas inspires him to make a brilliant concession speech that clearly makes him the front-runner for the next time around.

They meet again by chance a few years later and are intent on seeing one another. What they do not realize is that there is a mysterious group of men, calling themselves the Adjustment Bureau, who seem intent on keeping them apart.

Soon, David and Elise are on the run with the Bureau trying their best to separate them. The movie stars Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, Michael Kelly, Anthony Mackie and John Slattery. 

It’s father versus son

 Taras Bulba’ stars Tony Curtis, Yul Brynner, Sam Wanamaker, Brad Dexter, Guy Rolfe, Perry Lopez, George Macready and Ilka Windish. It is based on a novella by Nikolai Gogol and is directed by J Lee Thompson.

The basis of the film is the battle between the Turks and the Poles, and the relationships that get affected because of this rivalry.  A fierce Cossack chieftain, who has vowed to fight till death to regain his lands from Polish invaders, is confronted by his headstrong son, who is in love with a Polish girl.

The story is set in the Eastern European steppes. Catch the film on MGM Channel at 11 pm on March 1. 

A murderer on the loose

 In tonight’s episode of CID Chote Heroes, Maanas, a famous painter, dreams of two cruel murders and he paints them on canvas.  Unfortunately, the murders that he has seen and painted actually take place. Maanas has a hard time explaining to the cops that he has not killed anyone. But if he had no role to play in the grisly crime, then who had? Catch the show on March 1 at 9 pm on Sony Entertainment Television to find out.
