Inmates clash at Parappana Agrahara

A group of around ten prisoners reportedly assaulted an inmate at Parappana Agrahara Central Prisons over a trivial issue on Sunday morning.

While the jail authorities remained tightlipped on the incident, sources said Suneel Kumar alias Marathi, a rowdy, suffered severe injuries and was treated at the jail hospital.

Kumar was arrested by Vijayanagar police recently in connection with a robbery case. The reason for the assault is yet to be ascertained.
