JOIN US KPCC media committee member C R Narayanappa has alleged that the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) had extended the lease period of one of its buildings in Kempegowdanagar, for 30 years in favour of Adamya Chetana Trust, run by BJP leader Ananthkumar’s wife.
He told mediapersons here on Tuesday that the lease period had been extended even before the expiry of the original lease period. The ruling BJP has done this in a hurry since it was aware of the fact that it would not be coming to power in the next elections, he alleged.
The Trust is involved in the supply of mid-day meals to students. The value of the property which has been leased out to the Trust is said to be about Rs 20 crore. The lease should be cancelled immediately, Narayanappa added.
