Pakistani Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf Saturday arrived here for a day-long private visit to the Sufi shrine of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti at Ajmer in Rajasthan.

The flight of Ashraf, who is accompanied by his family members, landed at Sanganer airport in Jaipur around noon and will depart for Ajmer, officials said.

He will be hosted for lunch by External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid at the Hotel Rambag Palace in Ajmer.

"No substantive talks are scheduled" between the two sides, external affairs ministry spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin said Friday.

After completing his prayers in Ajmer, he will depart for Jaipur and take a special flight back to Islamabad Saturday evening.

The visit comes around two months after ceasefire violations on the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir that led to heightened tensions between the two neighbours.
Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari had visited the 13th century shrine April 8, 2012.
