Madani visits his father

Kerala-based PDP leader and Bangalore blasts accused Abdul Nasser Madani, who is on bail to attend his daughter's wedding, visited his ageing father at nearby Anwarassey today.

His close supporters and well-wishers greeted Madani when he reached his home town to meet his father Abdul Samad.

Madani stayed last night in the campus of a private medical college.

The sermon he delivered during the 'nikah' of his daughter yesterday has invited strong reaction from the state unit of the BJP, which alleged it amounted to violation of the bail conditions.

Giving his Khutba-e-Nikah (wedding message), Madani had a dig at Karnataka authorities saying his getting bail did not mean that the 'sun of justice' has risen over there.

"..I am in a tragic situation where the ray of justice is still far off," he said.

The trial court in Bangalore on Thursday granted temporary bail for Madani from March 8 to 12 to attend the marriage and visit his father under tight police security.

He had been lodged in a Bangalore jail since his arrest in 2010 for his alleged role in the July 2008 blasts, that left one person dead and over 20 injured in Bangalore.
