Ram Singh cremated at his village

 Ram Singh, the main accused in the Delhi gang-rape case who committed suicide in the Tihar jail on Tuesday, was cremated in his ancestral village in Karouli district in Rajasthan on Wednesday morning.

The Delhi police brought the body to Kalladah village as per the wishes of the family.

The ambulance carrying the body reached the village on Tuesday night.

Delhi police escorted the body till Rajasthan border.

The cremation was conducted in the presence of a few of his relatives on Wednesday morning as the family is facing ostracisation in the village after the incident.

Ram Singh and his brother Mukesh were among the six accused in the December 16 gang-rape of a 23-year-old girl in a moving bus in Delhi.
