New political party floated

A new political party, Bharatiya Dr B R Ambedkar Janata Party (BAJP), will now contest the Assembly polls in the State.

T Rajanna, who was dismissed from service as secretary to the Legislative Assembly following graft charges, is its founder.

General Secretary of the party, Shivarudraiah, during the inauguration of the party in Bangalore on Thursday, said that the party would field candidates in all the 224 Assembly seats.

Srirama Sene to support

Pramod Mutalik said that the Sriram Sene would support the party in building a corruption-free society.

The party also released its election manifesto which promises many things including clean administration and maximum support to farmers.
