Chief minister Sheila Dikshit on Saturday inaugurated a legal awareness camp for women at Okhla, Khizarpur village, in which thousands of women from minorities and weaker sections turned up to interact with two senior advocates.
The camp was organised by Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) with an aim to create awareness among women about their rights and issues related to their safety and empowerment.
Dikshit said several laws have been enacted for the empowerment, welfare, upliftment and safety of women in the country.
