Murder in the military

Catch ‘A Few Good Men’ on Sony Pix at 4.20 pm on March 18. In this film, a soldier dies and two Marines have been accused of murdering him.

Lt Daniel Kaffee is a navy lawyer, who has never practically worked on a case — he has a lazy attitude.
The other lawyer for the defence is commander Joanne Galloway. As the two of them try to get to the truth, Colonel Nathan Jessup and two other officers offer to help. But Kaffee feels that something is fishy and confronts the colonel.

On a partying spree

For the sake of love

Code 46’ is set in the near future, when the world is very different from present day.

The government is in total control of the people. There are two batches of people — the Insiders, who lead prosperous lives having the right documents called pappelles, while the
Outsiders lead a poverty-stricken existence out in the desert.

William (played by Tim Robbins) is sent from Seattle to Shanghai to investigate the issue of fake pappelles.

During his 24-hour visit, he meets Maria (essayed by Samantha Morton) and they fall in love.
He refuses to hand her over to the authorities despite finding out that she is the one who forges the fake pappelles.

Watch the repercussions on both their lives. The movie airs on UTV World Movies at 3.24 pm on March 18.

Keeping the streets safe

In ‘The Corruptor’, Nick Chen works for the New York City police force and heads the Asian Gang Unit. His job is to keep peace in Chinatown, while war rages between the Tong Triads and the ruthless Fukienese Dragons. Nick teams up with Danny — will they be able to keep the streets safe between the two of them?

In search of a weapon

John Carpenter’s ‘Escape from LA’ stars Kurt Russell, A J Langer, Steve Buscemi, Georges Corraface and Stacy Keach.

The movie, which is directed by John Carpenter, is about an ex-convict (played by Kurt Russell), who battles his way through the highs and lows of Los Angeles to retrieve a doomsday weapon. Watch the film on HBO at 9 pm on March 18.
