Last Updated 22 March 2013, 12:14 IST

Setting all rumours to the contrary to rest, India opener Gautam Gambhir Thursday confirmed his participation in the sixth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Gambhir, who is suffering from mild jaundice, captained the Kolkata Knight Riders to the title last year.

"I am available for the IPL. It's a mild jaundice, hoping to be good in 4-5 days time," Gambhir tweeted.

The left-hander missed the last two matches for Delhi in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy due to illness and also missed a chance to make a return to the Indian national side after being selected to replace injured Shikhar Dhawan for the fourth and final Test match against Australia starting Friday.
