Militant's wife rebuts Delhi Police claims

The wife of Syed Liyaqat Shah, a suspected Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist who was apprehended from Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh two days ago, has refuted the claims of Delhi Police that his husband had come to India to carry out fidayeen attack in the national capital during Holi.

“He (Shah) had gone to Pakistan some 15-16 years back for arms training. He was coming back to Kashmir to surrender before the police and the Army. We had informed the local army unit as well as the police about the decision,” Shah’s wife Amina Begum told Deccan Herald over phone.
