Youth injured in shoot-out

 A youth sustained a gunshot wound in a shoot-out with police at east Delhi’s New Ashok Nagar on Saturday.

Aehsan, a resident of Chaman Vihar in Ghaziabad, is undergoing treatment at Lal Bahadur Shashtri Hospital. His accomplice Riyaz, of Punjabi Phatak at Balli Marran, was arrested on the spot.

It is alleged that accused opened fire at constables when they were intercepted.

“In retaliation, constable Amit fired from his service revolver,” said Prabhakar, DCP (east).
