A two-wheeler rider was killed on the spot in an accident near Jayachamaraja Wadiyar Golf Club (JWGC) in the city on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Mariswamy (45), an ex-serviceman and security guard at Hotel Lalitha Mahal Palace. He was a resident of Alanahalli. The mishap reportedly occurred when Mariswamy was riding towards the lorry terminal around 12.30 pm.
He is said to have lost control while negotiating a blank curve adjacent to the golf club and ploughed into the mount of debris on the right side. Mariswamy succumbed to the head injuries he sustained.
