The High Court, on Monday, directed the State Public Prosecutor, to furnish details of cases booked against real estate tycoon T V Ramakrishna Reddy, facing several charges of cheating, and steps taken to seize his weapon.

Stating that he has been falsely implicated, Reddy has moved the High Court seeking bail assuring co-operation with the investigation while terming offences against him are not punishable with imprisonment for life. However, State Public Prosecutor S Doreraju, in his objection, said the accused, being a habitual offender has forged records, sold properties preparing fake documents to more than one person.

“There are at least 21 cases against him where he has colluded with financial institutions to cheat people,” he said, adding a prima facie case has been established and several cases are being investigated against him. Pointing out that petitioner has been dodging the police for a long time, Doreraju said the person terrorises people by brandishing his gun. Stating the petitioner is in the list of rowdy sheeters maintained by Hebbal police, he said the accused is booked under several cases in Hebbal, Malleswaram, Kothanur and J P Nagar police stations and had tried to tamper with witnesses earlier and hence bail be refused.
Justice Nagamohan Das directed the State government to furnish details regarding the cases, charge sheets filed, those under investigation and other details including details of pending trial.
