Heroism at the time of war

Catch ‘John Rambo’ on Sony Pix at 9 pm on March 27. John Rambo (played by Sylvester Stallone) is leading a peaceful life in Thailand.

He transports people and cargo in an old boat that belongs to him.  A group of Christian missionaries plan to go by his boat to the war zone in Burma, their intention being to help the locals.

A very reluctant Rambo ferries them to the requested location and leaves them there.
Soon, the missionaries are attacked along with the villagers by Major Tint’s army — that’s when Rambo uses his boat to take a group of mercenaries to rescue the missionaries.

The film also stars Julie Benz, Paul Schulze, Graham McTavish, Reynaldo Gallegos and Jake La Botz.

Dangerous pets at home

Catch ‘Fatal Attractions’ on March 27 at 7 pm on Animal Planet. There are many people who have pets and love them to bits. However, some of them take this obsession to a whole new level by giving shelter to some incredibly dangerous animals — for instance, some families actually keep tigers, crocodiles and other wild animals as pets. Catch the show to find out why they risk their lives in this manner.

Cooking his way to history

After four successful seasons, food adventurer Bob Blumer is going for gold. He’ll be facing his biggest food challenge yet — trying to break six Guinness World Records! From making the world’s largest bowl of salsa to cracking over 2,000 eggs in one hour, Bob will push his speed, strength and determination to the limit.
Only three per cent of those who try to break a Guinness World Record make the grade — will Bob beat the odds and achieve world-class glory, or has he finally bitten off more than he can chew? Watch ‘Glutton for Punishment’ on TLC at 9.30 pm on March 27 to find out.
