JOIN USThe city regional round of the 9th edition of India’s largest inter-collegiate business quiz, the Tata Crucible Campus Quiz took place amidst some thrilling battle of wits and exciting show of intellect.
In an auditorium bustling with the sharpest brains from campuses, Venkat and Eldrich from TAPMI, Manipal, emerged as winners of the Manipal regional round of the Tata Crucible Campus Quiz 2013, introduced in the new 6Q format.
The runner up position was bagged by Purvabh Surana and Sateendra Dey from MIT, Manipal.
The quiz master Giri Balasubramaniam presented a cash prize of Rs 75,000 to the winning team and Rs 35,000 to the runners-up team.
The Manipal regional round of Tata Crucible Campus Quiz 2013 enjoyed an enthusiastic response with over 85 teams participating from colleges across Manipal.
The top six teams of the quiz were selected after a preliminary written and a subsequent wild card round. The other four teams that qualified for the finals comprised of Vignesh and Dany Thomas (NMAMIT, Mangalore), Pranav J and KarthikBhat (NITK, Surathkal), Chaitanya and Arpit Jain (NITK, Surathkal) and Anindita and Soumya (NIT, Manipal).
From Manipal, the 9th edition of the Tata Crucible Campus Quiz, will now travel on to Kolkata (30th March) and Mumbai (31st March).
Starting this year, the regional winners from each of the cities will participate in the Zonal Finals in their respective zones. Zonal finals will be organized in Mumbai (West Zone), New Delhi (North Zone), Kolkata (East Zone) and Bengaluru (South Zone).
The top two teams from each zone would battle it out for the Tata Crucible Campus Quiz title at the National Finals to be held in Mumbai on April 14, 2013.
The mega International Final of the Tata Crucible Campus Quiz 2013 will be organised in Mumbai where the winners and runners-up from the Indian edition of Tata Crucible Campus Quiz 2013 will compete with the winners and runner-ups of the Singapore and UK editions, held earlier this financial year, to win the International Championship title.
