CM to inaugurate 'Vijay Sankalpa' in Udupi on March 29

Chief Minister Jagdish Shettar will inaugurate BJP campaign programme “Vijay Sankalpa” on March 29 at Chitranjan Circle.

Speaking to media persons, Udupi district BJP President Uday Kumar Shetty said that BJP General Secretary Ananth Kumar and BJP State President Pralhad Joshi will be present on the occasion.

The Chief Minister and other leaders will be welcomed by a huge bike rally at helipad in Adi Udupi.

He said the district BJP workers have finished second round of campaign meetings and the third round will get over by month-end.

The first list of the candidates will be out by the end of this month, Uday Kumar Shetty added. The district core committee has sent the list recommending the probable contestants for the five constituencies in the district, however, the decision will be taken by the party leaders at State-level, he added.

He said that the BJP will field a candidate in Kundapur as Haladi Srinivas Shetty has announced his decision to contest as an independent candidate. There are three names and everything will be finalised at the earliest.

The party is not over confident, but will try to win polls with confidence, he added.
