43,542 students to appear for SSLC exams

SSLC exams for the year 2012-13 will be held from April 1 to April 10 at 149 examination centres in the district. B K Basavaraj, Deputy Director of Public Instruction  said that in all 43,542 students would appear for the exams.

A district-level vigilant squad comprising Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer and principals of District Institute of Educational Training (DIET), deputy directors and educational officers has been formed led by deputy commissioner to prevent any malpractices during the exam.

Similarly, a district-level vigilance squad has been formed for the nine educational blocks from Mandya DIET. Apart from this, taluk level squads comprising taluk panchayat executive officers, block education officers have been formed.

Two officers would be present from the beginning to the end of the exam on all the days.

Time-table

The exams will be held between 9.30 am and 12.45 pm every day. The time-table is as follows: April 1 - Kannada (first language); April 3 - Science; April - 5 - English; April 6 - Indian Economics; April 8 - Maths; April 9 - Hindi; April 10 - Social Science.

A meeting was held and officials concerned have been directed to provide all basic amenities at the examination centres, the DDPI added.
