The menu includes a variety of tempting options like cakes, pastries and different breads, which can be coupled with a piping hot cup of coffee. All in all, the eatery is a haven for those with a sweet tooth.
Vinesh, one of the co-owners of the eatery, is a professionally-trained chef and has worked with some of the leading hotels in the country. He says that his partner and he always wanted to start something of their own and this seemed like the perfect beginning. “The idea was to start an eatery located far from crowded areas, where people can have a peaceful experience.
This is a quaint locality — it is completely residential and many families stay close by. We also have many youngsters visiting the eatery in the evenings. We specialise in cakes and pastries and have got several orders from families for birthday and wedding cakes,” he informs. The menu includes a variety of drinks, pastries, mousses and wraps. The hazelnut cappuccino, hazelnut latte, cafe mocha and different varieties of tea are some of the drinks that can be ordered.
For those who want to go beyond coffee and tea, there are a host of other things to try. For instance, there are milkshakes in a variety of flavours, including strawberry, blackcurrant, chocolate, raisin and banana. For chocolate-lovers, the chocolate milkshake is a great option; thick and creamy, the shake consists of chocolate sauce, syrup as well as chocolate shavings.
Vinesh adds that he has not done much to publicise the eatery. “Most people come here because of the ambience that we have created and then decide to eat something or the other. So, we are publicised through word of mouth; we hope that more people come by to sample our specialities.
The bakery, where the items are made, is located in the same building and we start working early in the morning. Everything is baked right here and is personally tended to by our chef,” he adds.
The dessert items here aren’t just delicious — they’re pretty innovative as well. The black forest cheesecake, for instance, is a must try — it’s a chef special and has a lovely combination of rich dark chocolate and the crisp feel of a cheesecake base. Decorated with white chocolate rings, it makes for the perfect snack after a long day at work.
However, what makes this place special is its cakes. “We have a chef who has come all the way from Malaysia. She churns out some masterpieces when it comes to cakes. Her designs are pretty amazing and we have had a great response till now,” informs Vinesh.
