JOIN US An Infosys staffer, dejected by fiance’s insinuations, committed suicide by hanging herself at her Papareddypalya house on Saturday.
According to police, Divyadeepa, 24, in a death note said to have been left by her, has said that her fiance Santosh and his friend Aravind used to accuse her of having an affair.
She however, has said that no one was responsible for her death. Acting on a complaint by Sharadamma, the mother of the girl, police have arrested Santosh. Divyadeepa and Santosh were scheduled to marry on May 14. Santosh, an MTech, graduate, is a colleague of Divyadeepa.
Constable killed
A constable was killed on the spot when a loaded pistol went off accidentally while he was cleaning it at the Centre for Counter Terrorism Training at Koodlu on Saturday. Satish, 27, a native of Soraba, was a constable with Garuda Commando Force and had joined the service five years ago.
The incident occurred when he accidentally pulled the trigger and a bullet pierced through his abdomen.
He was rushed to St Johns Hospital where he died later, added the police.
