In love with a dummy

Watch ‘Mannequin’ on MGM at 11.15 pm on April 5. Jonathan Switcher, a young artist, seems to be going nowhere as he cannot last in a job for long. But soon his luck changes when he makes a perfect mannequin and falls in love with it.

He sells it to a big departmental store after which he saves the life of an old lady — who turns out to be the owner of the store — and gets a job there as stock boy. Later on, though, the mannequin comes to life and both of them do create wonders in the store window that the competition will do anything to stop them. The film stars Andrew McCarthy, Kim Cattrall, Estelle Getty, James Spader and G W Bailey.

A meteor shower over the city

Tune in to ‘One Tree Hill’ on Star World at 10 pm on April 5. In tonight’s episode of the show, called ‘We Might as Well Be Strangers’, a midnight meteor shower finds Lucas sharing a romantic night with Anna.

In the meantime, Andy surprised Karen with a romantic dinner and Keith decides to cook for Jules on their first date. Brooke forms a mutually beneficial relationship with Felix and Peyton sets out to find an opening act for her club.

After a lost diamond

Pink Panther 2’ stars Steve Martin, Jean Reno, Emily Mortimer, Andy Garcia, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Yuki Matsuzaki.

In this sequel, Steve Martin reprises the role of the bumbling yet cunning French
police detective, inspector Jacques Clouseau.

When legendary treasures from around the world are stolen — including the priceless Pink Panther diamond — chief inspector Dreyfus is forced to assign Clouseau
to a team of international detectives and experts charged with catching the thief and retrieving the stolen artifacts. Along with his assistant Ponton and secretary Nicole, the team races to find the stolen goods and catch the Tornado, the mastermind behind the heist. Tune in to the flick on Sony Pix at 9 pm on April 5.
