The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday arrested former Assistant Commissioner of Police N K Amin in connection with the Ishrat Jahan fake encounter case.
Amin was granted bail in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case by the Bombay High Court on health grounds.
The agency in fact arrested him from the Civil Hospital in Ahmedabad, where he was under treatment.
Ishrat, along with Pranesh Pillai alias Javed Sheikh, Zeeshan Johar and Amjad Ali, were killed allegedly in a staged encounter on the outskirts of Ahmedabad on June 15, 2004. I.
