Senior Congress leader Siddaramaiah raised suspicions of BJP’s hand in a bomb blast, that occurred near BJP office in Bangalore on Wednesday.

Speaking to press persons on the sidelines of a party workers meet of Krishnaraja constituency, in Mysore, he said that there were chances of BJP colluding with anti-social elements to “plant a bomb” near its office, “for electoral gains”.

He said that the authorities should launch a detailed probe into the matter, and the guilty should be punished severely.

Earlier, speaking at the meet, he attacked Medical Education Minister, S A Ramdas and said that he was ‘Janardhan Reddy of Mysore’. Alleging that Ramdas has increased his wealth exponentially in the past few years, he said that the Minister should be inquired.

“If Congress comes to power in the State, special courts will be formed to investigate illegal mining, de-notification of government land and the real estate mafia,” he said. He also charged the JD(S) for having an “understanding” with the BJP in order to defeat Congress in the Assembly elections. People were tired of coalition government, he said and urged the workers to strive towards electing Congress to power in the State.

Candidate from Krishnaraja constituency, M K Somashekar, enthused confidence of defeating Ramdas by a margin of more than 25,000 votes.
