Ex-flames reunited

Hollywood heartthrob Johnny Depp has invited his ex-flame supermodel Kate Moss and her boyfriend for a holiday to enjoy the coming new year. The Pirates of the Caribbean star and his partner Vanessa Paradis will join Moss and her beau Jamie Hince for a winter escape to Depp’s private 45-acre island in the Bahamas, which he bought in 2004 for more than two million pounds.
The news was let slip by The Kills’ guitarist Hince, who has been dating Moss ever since she split with rocker Pete Doherty.
Moss and Depp had a very intense relationship from 1994 to 1998. They lost touch after their break-up but Depp got back in contact after publicly speaking out for her, when she became embroiled in a cocaine scandal in 2005.
Depp’s pirate-themed island is called Little Hall’s Pond Cay and has five beaches with unique names.
The first one is named Paradis after his partner, the second and third are Lily Rose and Jack as a tribute to his kids and the fourth one is called Brando after Hollywood legend Marlon Brando. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen any place so pure and beautiful. You can feel your pulse rate drop about 20 beats. It’s instant freedom,” said Depp about his island.

Nandana’s driver, Shehzad Ali is her Rakhi brother. Every year, they exchange gifts and her Eid dinner is lovingly and deliciously prepared by his family.     This year for Deepavali, Shehzad Ali gifted Nandana a gold nose ring.
Says Nandana, “While my Eid gifts are practical — clothes, books and toys for his three little sons, his Deepavali gift this year was simply
amazing and imaginative.
Because he saw me sporting a nose pin in my latest shoots, he got me an exquisite gold nose ring.”

Reality on-screen

Vinod Khanna plays a naxalite in Red Alert — The War Within. Says Ananth Mahadevan, the director of the film, “The film couldn’t have been more timely. It reflects today’s headlines. Viewers might also find shades of Kobad Ghandy in one of the film’s characters played by Vinod Khanna.”
Though in real life he belongs to the  establishment, in Red Alert, he plays an anti establishment, intellectual ideologue, a left wing Maoist. He is actually condemning the government. He is well-read, well-versed with issues, an intellectual, who does not raise the gun, but his weapon is motivation and strategising for the naxal movement to be a ruthless organisation to achieve their ultimate goal.
Ananth had earlier worked with Vinod Khanna in the film Chandni, but unlike that film, in Red Alert, Vinod Khanna’s performance is more subdued, with different mannerism and body language to get into the character of the intellectual cold blooded Maoist.
