JOIN USA 28-year-old woman working at a garment factory was found hanging at her house at Manjunath Nagar in Peenya on Tuesday night.
The victim, Soubhagya, hailing from Tiptur, had come to the City with her family seven years ago and had since been working at the garment factory in Madanayakanahalli.
Family sources said she was in love with Kumar, a mechanic, for the last six years. It is said, recently, Kumar refused to marry her and told her that his marriage had been fixed with his niece.
Heartbroken, Soubhagya had slipped into depression since. Even after Soubhagya’s parents meeting Kumar’s parents, he did not agree to marry her.
Police said Soubhagya ended her life due to depression. In a death note, she has requested Kumar to tie the knot at least to her body. Peenya police have registered a case of abetment to suicide against Kumar.
