Reddy's judicial custody extended

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Special Court on Monday extended the judicial custody of former minister Gali Janardhana Reddy, his personal assistant Mehfuz Ali Khan and four others till May 10, in a case pertaining to an alleged iron ore scam.

Ali and the other four––Kharadapudi Mahesh, Swastik Nagaraj, S Muthaiah and S P Raju––were produced  before Shreeshananda, the Special Judge for CBI cases in Bangalore.

Reddy was not produced as he has been shifted back to Chanchalaguda jail in Hyderabad in connection with the agency’s probe into the Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC) case. The case here pertains to the alleged irregularities committed by the Associated Mining Company (AMC).
