Public help sought for total cleanliness

Workshop organised for the peoples representatives

He was addressing after distributing ‘Nairmalya Prashasti’ of the State government at a workshop organised for the people’s representatives at the taluk panchayat hall here on Monday. Gram panchayat president, secretary and volunteers should work hard for the successful implementation of Sampoorna Nairmalya scheme. Every year one gram panchayat in the taluk will be chosen and honoured under the cleanliness campaign through private participation, he added.

Taluk Panchayat President Lakshmi Ramaiah said that people should co-operate to build toilets in all houses in the taluk. Awards were distributed to the secretaries of Horanadu, Thontaduru, Javali, Nandipura, Chinniga, Hesagal, Niduvale, Tharuve and Banakal gram panchayats on the occasion.

Zilla Panchayat member Jyothi Hemashekhar, Taluk Panchayat Vice President Sujatha, members Manjaiah, Chandregowda, Sharada, Prabhakar, Uggihalli Rudraiah, Susheela Shekar, taluk panchayat executive officer Dr Suresh, District Nairmalya Programme co-ordinator Tharanath and others were present.
