The ‘TCS World 10K, scheduled to be held in the City on May 19, is attracting a large number of Bangaloreans.

Many foreign athletes, aiming to set new course records, will be participating.
The different events included in the run are the ‘Open 10K Run’, the ‘10K Challenge’, the ‘Nike College Face-off’ and the ‘DHL Corporate Challenge’.

The other slots include the ‘Senior Citizens’ run — which will see around 1,000 participants — while the event for the ‘Champions with Disability’ will see 450 participants.

A team of elite athletes has been put together to lead the run, including Japhet Korir and Emily Chebet. Talking about the event, Dilip Jayaram, the CEO of Procam International, says, “We have changed a few things, especially in the run for people with disabilities.

We had to close the registrations much early this year, because of the increased enrolment.” An expo, called the ‘Get Active Expo’, will be held for three days prior to the run.

It will include a range of fitness and lifestyle brands and will be packed with engaging and entertaining activities.

It will be held at the Koramangala Indoor Stadium from May 10 to 12. The timings are from 11 am to 7 pm on all three days. Confirmed participants can also come to the same venue to collect their running numbers.
